Refused A Name completed a recent double of wins, at Punchestown today, when winning the Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Chase for trainer John 'Shark' Hanlon and jockey Chris Timmons.
The winner, successful previously at Down Royal on St Stephen's Day, kept on well on the run-in for a two and a half lengths win over Embracing Change and Hanlon later said “I was a bit disappointed with his jumping down the back straight but Chris said he just couldn't see the fences with the sun and he was depending on the horse to get him out of trouble.
“He could go to Leopardstown in a few weeks time; he's a big horse, 17.1hh, and wants a big galloping track. Anything form two miles to two and half miles suits him.”
Regarding his stable star, Hanlon added “Hidden Cyclone will run at Ascot next Saturday and depending on how he gets on there, he could go for the Champion Chase then.”
