Ravished gave Gigginstown another success when enjoying the three mile handicap hurdle in Limerick.

The six-year-old travelled smoothly into the lead four out and quickly put four lengths on his pursuers with half a mile to go.

He put in a big jump at the second last and readily stretched away from Sarah Battle to win by seven lengths at odds of 10/1. Sarah Battle was the 6/1 joint favourite. Tiger Bay Lady completed the placings in third at 13/2, another two and a half lengths away.

"He has loads of scope for a handy sized horse and he won well. He relished the ground, he travelled well and he jumped from hurdle to hurdle," jockey Ger Fox commented.

The Stewards received a request from Barry T. Murphy, trainer, to substitute his nominated rider J.P. Kerse with A. Ring on his charge Sharekan as he was 4lbs overweight. Barry T. Murphy stated that he had confirmed the riders availability and was not made aware of any difficulty riding at the required weight. J.P. Kerse stated that he

had not disclosed any weight difficulty as he believed from his own weighing scales that he had 1lb to lose prior to weighing out but has now realised that his own scales were incorrect. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that J.P. Kerse was in breach of Rule 198 and therefore suspended him for 1 race day and

further fined him €150. The Stewards allowed Barry T. Murphy's request for a change of rider.
