Dame Rapide made it back to back wins since joining trainer Barry Fitzgerald when running out a convincing winner of the concluding William Hill Scratch of the Day Handicap at the Curragh.
A winner at Leopardstown on her stable debut last Friday, the five-year-old coped admirably with the step up in trip to see off the well fancied Echoes In Rain
Jockey Luke McAteer always had the mare towards the head of affairs and quickly settled the issue once sending his mount for home early in the straight.
Trainer Barry Fitzgerald said; “She was very impressive there, she was good last Friday night and was good tonight again.
“She's still improving and I don't know where she's going to stop or where she's going to go next.
“We said we'd come here, we thought we were out of our depth but we weren't. Luke gave her a lovely ride and she's a nice filly to go forward now for the summer.
“We'll probably have to look for something bigger and see where she lies, probably Group 3 or Listed now.
“Luke said she'll get two miles so later on in the year we could look at the Cesarewitch, that's if we don't go too high in the handicap.
“It's nice to get her, it was nice to get a winner last week and again this week. It's good for the yard and for everybody involved.”
