The Seamus Fahey trained Randall's Alannah kept on best to finish second under Marc Monaghan at 12/1 while Bedecked was a further three parts of a length back in third.

The winner has been a model of consistency for connections and has yet to finish outside the first three on his six career starts to date.

Last time out he finished second to Cest Notre Gris at Galway on Saturday while he recorded his first success at the Curragh last month when he won a Nursery

Winning trainer Michael Mulvany said afterwards: "My horses are running well but it's nice to get a winner.

"He is a good honest little horse and he’ll go for the Tattersalls Sales Race now in September where he should give a good account of himself.

"Hopefully he will improve another bit as he is still a big baby."

Chips Are Down was purchased by his owner, Larry Mulvany, for just €6,500 at last year's Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale.
