Charles Byrnes' Deal Or No Deal returned the well-backed 2/1 winning favourite of the Ladbrokes Ireland Handicap Hurdle at Listowel today, arriving late under Davy Russell to eventually win by a neck.

The winner was raised 10lbs for a recent eight lengths win at Bellewstown and Byrnes later mentioned “he had gone up a fair bit in the weights but did that well. Davy (Russell) gave him a great ride in fairness. He may run here again on Thursday but is only number 16 on the ballot list to get a run.”
