Prevaricate made all in the second split of the Happy 90th Birthday Michael Louis Maiden Hurdle in Leopardstown to justify his price of 2/9f.

Jack Kennedy 's mount looked to have a race on his hands in the home straight, however, he was soon pushed along to assert.

The Fame And Glory gelding was strong at the business as he drew clear on the run-in to prevail by four lengths. He was all the rage with punters from a morning price of 8/11 and then an opening show of 2/7. Khanmurjan took second at 9/2 and was a length and a half in front of 18/1.

"He's been promising that for a long time at home and he's probably been disappointing if I'm being honest,” said Gordon Elliott.

“He's got his head in front now and it might just bring him forward. Jack said he liked the ground and when the horse came to him he picked up again.

“We'll stay going with him and he might even jump a fence during the summer.”
