Presentingoscar justified favouritism in the last at Clonmel, the Powerstown Demesne (Q.R) Handicap Hurdle.
The John Joe Walsh trained son of Oscar won a bumper at Thurles in October of 2015, and was recording his maiden successful over flights this afternoon.
Fourth to Carrigready at Thurles last Thursday, the Christopher Buckley owned bay was sent off the 5/1 market leader with William Cronin in the saddle.
Settled behind the leaders, he was pushed along to challenge on the entrance to the straight, and jumped two out out in second.
He was ridden and out-stayed Hanover Street (25/1) on the run-in, going on to defeat that rival by half a length. Good To Flow finished a length back in third at 7/1, while Something Sweet was a further three lengths back in fourth at 25s.
The winning handler said afterwards: "I thought he was unlucky at Thurles the last day when he made a mistake at the third last. William gave him a grand ride today and rode him a winner of a bumper as well.
"He'll go for another handicap hurdle next and eventually he'll go chasing; he's a fine big horse who jumps well."
