The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden saw a surprise when 12/1 shot Praise Be over-turned the 4/7 favourite Luxurious when coming home in front for trainer John Murphy.

Promising seven pound claimer Leigh Roche hit the front with over a furlong to go and kept on well for cosy two length win over Luxurious.

Winning trainer Murphy said afterwards: “We thought she would run well after her run at Gowran Park she was very fresh after it.”

“We just wondered whether she’d get the mile but her Dam won over a mile and two in France. She won easy enough and she’s a very progressive tough filly.”
