We had a fourth winning favourite of the evening at Ballinrobe as 1/2 chance Presenting Percy didn't let his many supporters down when triumphing in At The Races (Ladies Pro/Am) INH Flat Race under Katie Walsh. Benefit Jewel eventually put a bit of pace to the race after nothing wanted to go on initially, but the big two, Presenting Percy and Carrig Cathal came with their bids in the final quarter mile.

There was soon only going to be one outcome though, as Presenting Percy, already with an outstanding piece of form to his name, strode away to triumph by six lengths.

The victorious Sir Percy gelding had been second to Battleford (second at Cheltenham and Aintree since) on his only previous run at Punchestown in January.

Pat Kelly and Philip Reynolds who had a never to be forgotten day at Cheltenham with Pertemps hero, Mall Dini, combined for the win with Presenting Percy.

Indications afterwards were that Presenting Percy could now contest a winner’s bumper in search of more education before being put away.
