Strong-travelling Magic Chegaga won a competitive looking nightcap in Naas by a length and three parts.
Oisin Orr unleashed her to pick off Beyond Happy a furlong and a half from home and the 10/3 shot was soon ridden to go and win her race.
She stayed on well in the final furlong of this mile and a quarter handicap to post a victory. Beyond Happy (11/4jf) kept on for second and was a neck up on Zola Sakura (4/1).
Tom Gibney said: “I'm really happy with the mare and she seems to be improving. We thought today would really suit, the bigger galloping track and a little bit of ease in the ground. That was definitely a part of the improvement.
“It's great to have her. I might look to get a bit of black-type with her. She has the pedigree and it would put a lot of value on her. In these conditions I'd definitely think about it.
“The horses are just in good form and you see it all the time, when a stable is in good form it seems to lift the whole lot of them. I just hope we can keep it that way.”
