O'Dwyer Prospering at local venue
Trainer Conor O’Dwyer completed a double at his native Wexford this evening, when his Prosperity Square landed the Tuskar Rock Beginners Chase, a first winner at the track for local New Ross rider Ben Dalton.
The son of Anshan moved to the front from two out before staying on well to comfortably see off the challenge of That Beats Banagher.
Afterwards O’Dwyer stated “I was a bit worried about the favourite, Your Busy being rated 119 but there are only a few beginner chases over this trip so we took our chance. He jumped super and he stays great and hopefully the handicapper isn’t too hard on him. That’s my fourth career double as a trainer.”
“He is owned by Owen Curtin, from, but unfortunately he is on holidays in America at the moment. He must be a lucky owner as it’s his first horse and he has now won three times. I think he would have finished in first three at Kilbeggan but was brought down.”
