A set of blinkers (first-time), a tongue-strap and a noseband saw Our Manekineko backed from 13/2 into 5/1 for the division one of the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap and he delivered to credit Joseph O'Brien with a double (earlier successful aboard Antiquus .
O'Brien got James Nash's Kyllachy gelding to the front a furlong out and the three-year-old, previously a course and distance scorer, stayed on powerfully to defeat Dancing Cosmos by two and a half lengths.
Nash explained: "He jumped all the shadows here the last day.
"We put blinkers on him and a noseband to see if we could keep him on the ground.
"We'll try to find something similar and Joseph was very strong on him."
F. Lynch, rider of The Grey Horseman trained by Patrick Martin, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran very keen.
