With two absentees, Joseph O'Brien had two of the remaining three runners in the concluding 1m5f maiden and Nurburgring (2/1) came out on top under Mikey Sheehy.
The Zoffany colt, sixth at the Curragh on his only juvenile outing, was waited with in touch in last by Sheehy before travelling up well to lead a furlong out. He had little difficulty pulling four and a quarter lengths clear of 8/13 favourite Queenstown
Joseph O'Brien, for whom it was a third maiden winner of the afternoon after a double at Limerick, said: "Settled well, quickened up very well. He did (come up the hill strongly).
"Nice run at two, but we thought on that ground he might get a bit tired. Some of mine have just taken a run this year. I thought he might be no different, but I was impressed with how he went to the line. Looks a smart horse.
"Huge horse and absolutely some scope. He will be a lovely middle distance/stayer, hopefully."
