Notkeepinyagoing powered clear in the closing stages to run out a wide margin winner of the concluding bumper at Galway this evening.
The Califet mare cost just £10,000 after winning her point-to-point back in the spring and made a winning start for trainer John McConnell.
Ben Harvey had his mount to the fore throughout in the two-miler and kicked on over two furlongs from home on the well backed 13/2 shot.
She galloped on strongly in the straight, pulling away to record a 13-length success over 33/1 shot Presenting J The winner had been 25/1 this morning.
The winning rider said afterwards:- “She’s a lovely filly and was picked up for handy money after winning her point-to-point. She is definitely a good bit of value to come out and win a bumper.
“She won as she liked really and hit the line really well. She travelled and there is a lot to like about her.
“I committed her early as we thought she would stay well and in fairness she really did. The owners will have a bit of fun with her and she’s entitled to improve off of that.”
