Nostringsattached who finished runner-up on her handicap debut when last seen in October, made a winning reappearance by going one place better in the Racing Again May 10th & 11th Handicap at Cork.
A consistent filly in maidens last term, the Andrew Kinirons trained grey got off the mark when winning at the Curragh on her sixth start. Following a highly promising introduction to handicap company at Leopardstown, the six-year-old was sent off 3-1f to score here.
Although quite keen in the hands of Wesley Joyce, the mare settled in fourth just off the pace, as Ben Coen set the fractions up front on Take Heart
Moving up to dispute over a furlong from home, for a time it looked as though Nostringsattached might not get by, as Take Heart battled on in determined fashion. However, with Joyce again seen at his strongest, the grey mare eventually prevailed by half-a-length.
Andrew Kinirons later reported: "She was really progressive last year and is only coming into herself. We really fancied her and with Wesley's 5lb claim, she was in with no weight at all.
"I think she'll progress through the year and the Browne's horses improve with time and they give them time as well. She is exciting and we'd be looking for blacktype along the line but will hit the big handicaps and she'll stay 12 furlongs or further.
"She has jumped a hurdle but I wasn't allowed send her over hurdles yet so we'll see. I think she has a lot more to do on the flat first, so we won't be in any panic."
