Nolan/Molloy strike at Punchestown

Thu 22nd Apr 2010, 18:33

County Kildare handler Stephen Nolan landed the Naas Court Hotel Handicap Hurdle after his charge Prince Rudi came home in front under Bobby Molloy.

Molloy produced the eight year old gelding to lead entering the straight and the pair stretched clear of their rivals after the last to score by an easy nine lengths.

Winning trainer Nolan said afterwards: "He have been waiting for three miles on better ground all season and they made all the difference today."

"He ran no race at all the last day. We put blinkers on him today just to sharpen him up."

"We might have a look at Killarney next for him."
