Habitual front-runner Rudy Catrail (3/1 jt fav) made all for an easy win in the Bet 10 Get 20 Handicap Hurdle (Div I) under 7lbs claimer Shane Fenelon.

The 9-year-old gelding got into a great rhythm out in front and had the field well strung out from an early stage.

He turned for home with a big lead and came home 16 lengths to the good over fellow joint-favourite Warreedy with Lisavalley Lass in third place.

The winner had chased home Warreedy over fences at Roscommon earlier this month, and then was second over hurdles at Wexford just two days later, so this was a deserved second career success and first over hurdles.

Winning trainer Eamonn 'Dusty' Sheehy said:"It was a good ride from Shane, he won two point to points on him and that's why I left him on him.

"Shane rides out for me one day a week and is based with Shark Hanlon.

"He deserved to win a handicap off his mark and he goes on soft ground.

"He jumps Easyfix hurdles brilliantly but doesn't jump the other hurdles as well.

"He is a handicapper and we'll see what hurdle or chase pops up again."
