Available at 16/1 this morning, Mr Dibbs went off at a quarter of those odds in the Adare Manor Opportunity Maiden Hurdle and rewarded his backers when coming through to lead on the run-in.  Ad Caelum gave it a good go from the front and had fended off the challenge of market leader Lynchy Boy at the last but he couldn't repel the Eoin Kelly-ridden winner who swept past in the final 100 yards to score by six lengths.

The winner, placed twice at this venue last year, is trained locally by Adrian Murray for Jose Souza Guerra.

Murray said: “We were very happy with him coming here today and he looked fantastic during the week.

“It took him a few races to find his form this year. He was a bit disappointing this year, it could have been the ground, but he looked fitter and had a good coat on him today.

“He loves this ground and will keep going for the summer. He could go to Galway.”

Two horses lost considerable ground in a ragged start and there was a resultant stewards' enquiry which had no bearing on the judge's placings.
