After a pair of second-place finishes, No Cash Flow was very much in the mood today to get that winning feeling as he trounced his rivals in Cork’s bumper.
Jockey Paul Power pushed the button with a quarter of a mile to go and the response was immediate as No Cash Flow stretched away for an impressive 18-lengths success.
Trainer Henry de Bromhead said: “He had a lovely first run, but I was a little bit disappointed with him in Listowel. He was in really good form since and we’ve always liked him.
“He jumps deadly and he’s exciting and he’ll have a break and we’ll wait to the Spring to go hard with him. He’s one to look forward to. He’s funny bred. I don’t know much about his pedigree.
"Katie Rudd, wife of former jockey Tom Rudd, is involved in the winning partnership [The Sauteurs Partnership]."
No Cash Flow’s parents are both American horses. The sire, Toccet, won both the Grade 1 Champagne Stakes and Grade 1 Hollywood Futurity. Last year he was Oklahoma’s leading general sire. He also sired Canadian Derby winner Toccetive.
No Cash Flow was the 5/4 favourite today. The race for second was headed by Oscar Vespasian at 14/1, a neck in front of The Other Side (16/1).
