Valgor Du Ronceray benefitted from a confident ride by Nina Carberry to take the bumper at Thurles.
The Gigginstown-owned gelding, runner-up in a point-to-point, was off the track for just over a year prior to finishing fifth to the impressive Up For Review at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting.
Carberry bided her time on the heels of the leaders until producing the French-bred gelding between horses over a furlong out.
The Tony Martin-trained 11/4 chance, well-backed from 4/1, asserted inside the final furlong for a comfortable three and three quarter lengths verdict over Briar Lane Shes A Gangster was nearly three lengths further back in third.
