Youngnedofthehill recorded his first career success, as he took the Supermac's Ballinrobe Handicap Hurdle.
Previously trained by Stephen Nolan, the nine-year-old son of King's Theatre made his debut for Shane Nolan at Tipperary last month, finishing twelfth of eighteen behind Gold Smoke.
Available at 20s last night, the Santana Syndicate owned gelding went off at just 9s under Roger Loughran.
Having raced in rear, he improved into mid-division from three out, and came with his challenge on the outer after the next.
He swept through to lead before the last, and kept on strongly under pressure from there, going on to score by six lengths.
The 7/2 favourite Alterno finished second under Davy Russell for Des McDonogh, while Ali Bin Nayef (6/1) was another six and a half lengths back in third for Rachael Blackmore and John 'Shark' Hanlon.
"He needs to be dropped in and that's the key to him," said Loughran.
"I rode him a good while back in Navan and dropped him in last. He was keener that day than he was today and he seems to be getting a bit more sense.
"I missed the second last and I was in front plenty soon but he went and done it. It was probably an ordinary affair but he can only go forward."
