The Ellemarie Holden trained My Direction claimed his third flat success of the year when landing the concluding Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Handicap at Dundalk today, winning under a well judged ride from apprentice Oisin Orr.

Orr delivered his challenge late on My Direction and edged to the front between horses in the closing stages for a narrow win over Mainicin

Afterwards Holden stated “that’s brilliant. He’s run up to his form and absolutely loves this surface.

“If he hadn’t run well tonight we were going to give him a break but he’s obviously not ready.

“We’ll keep him going and pick something again in about three weeks time.”

My DIrection had previously won twice on the flat, at Gowran and Tramore, last August.
