Court Maid saw off Good Scent to land the mares' bumper in Galway for Tom Mullins and Finny Magure. Wait For No One led a driven-along Court Maid into the straight With Good Scent hot on their heels.

Wait For No One cracked and was headed a furlong out as Court Maid and Good Scent raced by.

It was Court Maid (7/1) who just found enough to repel a rallying Good Scent (4/1) by a neck at the line. Miss Chevious Girl was well supported from 2/1 to 13/8 favourite but could make no impression on the principals in third, nine lengths away.

Tom Mullins said: "I always thought a good bit of her but it took a while to get her to this point. She was third at Gowran first-time out and took a while to get over that but is a lot stronger now in the last couple of months and has really come on stream.

"She is a well-bred filly and I doubt she'll go for a winners' bumper as I can't wait to get her hurdling. I think she's decent and now she's done the first bit."
