County Wexford trainer Paul Nolan took the opening race at Navan this afternoon, the Navan Maiden Hurdle with 14/1 shot Mull On The Run in the hands of Alain ‘Squeaky’ Cawley.

Winning trainer Nolan said afterwards: “He’d no luck the last day at Listowel where he came out of stalls awkwardly and he ran a bit free with his head up in the air.”

“He jumped well today and he got to the front turning into the straight and kept at it and was coming away from them after the last.”

“He came to me as a good horse from Michael McElhone’s were he won a couple of good races for him, we will probably go back for a flat race next with him.”
