Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd teamed up to win the concluding 4-y-o bumper with the well-backed Evens favourite Mr Jackman
The Flemensfirth debutant got to the front early in the home straight and went on to beat Second Subaltern by two and three quarter lengths, with the other Elliott runner Papal Lodge taking third place.
The winner cost 32,000 Euros at last summer’s Goffs Land Rover Sale.
Assistant trainer Ian ‘Busty’ Amond commented afterwards: "He is a nice horse at home but until you get here you don't know. He did it well, is a grand straightforward horse and stays going.
"I'd imagine he'll go for a winners' bumper at Galway if he comes out of it ok but he'll probably have an easy week now as he has been on the go since winter."
