Teahupoo's owners Robcour were on the mark at Tipperary today as Time Marches On (17/2) continued their old alliance with trainer James Motherway, in the Porter House Handicap Chase.
The eight year old gelding was a November winner at Cork but had disappointed on a previous run at Tramore but today, under Conor Stone Walsh, scored a 2.75 lengths win over Look Dont Touch
Motherway, who is unrelated to today's opening-race winning trainer Colin Motherway, reported “it is great to get that win out of him as we were very disappointed at Tramore but I feel he didn't handle the track and never got going.
“I told Conor (Stone Walsh) to get him out handy today and keep him on the outer to give him as much light as he could. He has plenty ability but keeps a little for himself so I told Conor to be as positive as he could.
“He is a summer horse, that's his ideal ground and is a nice horse to have. It is great to get a winner for Robcour.”
Regarding that connection to leading owners Brian Acheson's Robcour, the Irish Grand National-winning trainer added “I have trained horses for Brian for 13 years and ever before Robcour (the business) came along, he kept horses with us.
“I don't have as many horses to run for Brian as I had but I've been doing a lot of pre-training for him this year and he has been very good to us.”
