Ryan Moore landed a quick-fire double at the Curragh as he guided Master Speaker home in the six furlong handicap for trainer Martin Hassett.

Top-weight Russian Soul set the pace under Shane Foley as Moore settled Master Speaker in fifth.

Foley pushed Russian Soul along outside the two pole but the pair still boxed on as Kimbay moved into second with a furlong and a half to race. Moore was seen working on Master Speaker on the outer in third.

With 150 yards left, Master Speaker got on terms with Russian Soul and he soon stayed on best to prevail by half a length from fast-finishing In Salutem (4/1).

It was close for third between Kimbay and Russian Soul (7/1) with the latter getting the final place by a head.

Martin Hassett said: "It's the Moore factor! Sean Corby has been riding him all along and it's nothing against him but we said we'd try something different.

"His first few runs this year were phenomenal but we were disappointed with him the last day. In fairness the handicapper has given us a chance and hopefully he won't be too hard after that.

"We are thinking of the Rockingham, although that's over five but we'll see. He's owned by my niece Kate and we got him out of Ballydoyle."
