Missy Tata landed her first Grade Three with an authoritative display in Naas.

Just the four runners went to post for the Fishery Lane Hurdle with Missy Tata backed down from 15/8 to 13/8 joint favourite.

She tracked Swamp Fox in a close second before assuming the lead just before two out.

She readily drew clear on the run to the last and, although not fluent there, had plenty in hand in winning by four lengths with Keith Donoghue guiding her home.

This was her fourth win in a row over hurdles.

Trainer Gordon Elliott said: “She’s not a bad mare. We were thinking about going jumping fences with her but I‘d say she could win plenty of prize money if we kept her over hurdles.

“Keith gave her a good ride, and that’s good for him, so I’m happy for him. Keith rode his first Graded winner last week and that’s his second in a week now.” Slowmotion (7/1) stayed on in the run-in to get up for second from Swamp Fox by three parts of a length.

The other 13/8 joint favourite, Koshari couldn't land a blow on the winner as he was beaten over 10 lengths into fourth. Afterwards, he was found to be struck into on his right fore.
