Little Misshamrock stayed on best to deny the front-running Wilcosdiana in the Glenview & Rathbarry Studs Mares Maiden Hunters Chase.

The Jimmy Finn trained five-year-old had just three point-to-point runs to her name before today, winning on her penultimate start at Nenagh.

Sent off at 20/1 today she was settled behind the leaders by Liam Quinlan. She was pushed along in third entering the straight for the final time, and she kept on well from the third last, eventually running down Wilcosdiana on the run-in, going on to score by two lengths.

The front-running Wilcosdiana had to settle for second under Gerry Mangan for Eugene O'Sullivan at 7/1. Chapter Two was sent off the well-backed 7/4 favourite (from 4's last night and from 2's on-course), and she was another twenty-one lengths back in third with Pa King in the saddle.

Jimmy Finn said afterwards: "That was a great performance as it was her first time on the track and she was racing against some mares who were handicapped over hurdles.

"She only had three runs in point-to-points and she learned a lot the last day when they went a ferocious gallop in a race with ten previous winners.

"She jumped so well and it stood to her and we've no plan from today.

"I bred her myself and she is owned by James O'Doherty, from Clonmel, who owns Shamrock Enterprises, which sells all those good products (nutritional feed supplements for cattle)"

The winner is a half-sister to seven time winning stablemate Ballyfinboy, while dual winner Joxer is another half-brother.
