Miss Oreo (14/1) made all the running to land the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle for 'Shark' Hanlon.
Having made the frame in a couple of bumpers, the daughter of King's Theatre stallion Clovis Du Berlais held a clear advantage from before halfway. Shane Fenelon kept plenty up his sleeve for the closing stages and the hurdling debutant accounted for Colleen Danu by six and a half lengths.
The 6/5 favourite Meet My Loreley hadn't been asked for her effort but had a lot to do when falling three out.
Hanlon, who trains the five-year-old for Susan Cosgrove, said: “He gave her a great ride. She's free and I told him to try and save a bit that you'll be able to give her a breather at some stage.
“Her jumping was unreal. She won a point-to-point and any of them that win a point-to-point can jump.
“Shane has done a lot of work with her at home because she's not an easy ride so fair play to him.
“The owners are from Mayo, as you can see by the jerseys and colours, and it's the first horse they've ever had. They are absolutely thrilled.
“I rang them to ask would they buy her and there was only a word so I'm thrilled for them.”
