The beautifully-bred Mehnah looked an exciting prospect when swooping inside the final furlong to make a winning debut in the fillies maiden at Dundalk.
The Kevin Prendergast-trained daughter of Frankel is a half-sister to the yard's 2016 Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Awtaad.
She went to post a 17/2 shot on her debut and was held up in the early stages of the seven-furlong contest by Chris Hayes.
The Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned filly made ground up on the outer in the straight and quickened well inside the final furlong to get on top close home for a length-and-a-quarter win over Fantasy Lady
2/1 favourite Sister Rosetta was a neck back in third.
The winning rider said afterwards:- “She's a lovely filly and she obviously has a pedigree to die for.
“We liked her all year long but as you can see she's a big girl and we gave her all the time in the world.
“We picked out this race a couple of weeks ago but it's sods law that we got drawn in the carpark.
“I just rode her cold and let her do the steering herself. She warmed into it lovely and I got there really easily.
“She had a little look at the horse gate and I had to give her two flicks just to keep her going forward.
“She's a very exciting filly, she's very well related. I'd imagine that's it for the year, I'd say he'll put her away because she is a big girl.
“There's plenty to look forward to and plenty to dream about for the winter.”
