Pat Martin will long remember today's Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Salsabil Stakes as Indiana Gal became his first Listed winner when she beat Perfect Truth by a length.

Fran Berry sat last on the daughter of Intikhab as Dancera and Perfect Truth set a strong pace up front. The latter took over three furlongs out and looked like she might stay there but Indiana Gal came home best to lead inside the final fifty yards.

Martin said: "They went very quick and Fran rode her with a lot of balls but he gets on very well with her. The trip (1m 2f & about 150 yards) was my biggest worry for her (had only won up to a mile). We might now go for what they call the richest Listed race in Europe with her - that being in Sweden in May. Good ground is important to her." (EM)
