Johnny Murtagh's Skilled Warrior is very solid for the Athleague Maiden at 5.45pm in Roscommon.

The three-year-old gelding trades around 11/8 from 9/2 this morning. Indulging is a notable non runner in this contest.

Skilled Warrior is bidding to make the breakthrough after being placed in five of his eight outings.

The double-figure odds on Confident Star have long since disappeared in the opening juvenile maiden at 4.45pm.

Jessica Harrington 's colt, who finished in rear of what has since proved to be a hot race in the Curragh on debut in June, is currently a top-priced 7/1.

Meanwhile, John McConnell's Sagittarius Rising is popular for the J. F. Hanley Handicap at 6.45pm.
