He's been a beaten favourite twice since his eye-catching fifth placing over the course and distance at the end of October but as market-leader again Manorov delivered in the Winter Series At Dundalk 2015 Apprentice Handicap.

With usual rider Colin Keane up, Tom McCourt's charge got the better of Muck 'N' Brass by a length and three parts.

"Colin knows him well. He says that he has loads of speed and we thought about going back to a mile," said McCourt.

"I don't think he was right through the summer. He wasn't finishing out his races.

"Colin rode him with plenty of confidence and you need some luck to get the gaps.

"He'll probably come back for something similar in the new year and he'll go hurdling in the spring or the summer."

S. Corby, rider of Waterloo Sunrise trained by S.M.Duffy, reported at a Stewards' enquiry that his saddle slipped forward early in this race and he was unable to be of much assistance to his mount

The Stewards enquired into an incident early in the straight involving Waterloo Sunrise, ridden by S. Corby, unplaced, Danequest ridden by L.F. Roche, unplaced, Miss Mitigate (GB), ridden by D. O'Brien, unplaced and Rising Euro ridden by C.P. Hoban, unplaced, where it appeared that Waterloo Sunset ran short of room on the inside and had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that both C.P. Hoban and D. O'Brien had contributed to the interference and consequently severely cautioned both riders. Furthermore the Stewards cautioned S. Corby for failing to report that his saddle had slipped, this being a breach of rule 213. D. O'Brien and S. Corby were accompanied by Adrian Guinness and Patrick Duffy respectively at this enquiry.

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the first furlong of this race involving Halarath ridden by O.J. Orr, unplaced and Bomber Jackson ridden by R.P. Whelan, where it appeared Bomber Jackson clipped a heel and unseated his rider. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that O.J. Orr had caused the incident by riding carelessly and consequently suspended him for 2 racedays. Charles Moore trainer of Halarath attended this enquiry with O.J. Orr.
