After four winners in Dundalk last night, the Ger Lyons bandwagon rolled down to Tipperary for Maker Of Kings to oblige in the mile and one handicap.
Sam Ewing produced him between horses to challenge Teed Up at the furlong pole and his mount grabbed the lead in the final 150 yards.
The 13/2 chance galloped on well to hit the line a length and a quarter ahead of 3/1 favourite Teed Up. Lord Park finished well in third at 10/1.
Assistant trainer Shane Lyons said: “Sam is doing well for us, he is a really good addition this year and is fitting in really well.
"Since Ger released him (to ride for outside yards) he is getting plenty of experience and is very fit and for a young lad he knows his homework.
"We like Maker Of Kings; he was a bit feminine but has grown into himself, it has taken him this time but he will be a nice horse next year.
"Hopefully he'll stay on the team for us next year and I think he will winter well. He went on that ground but I think he is one of those horses who will go on any ground. I think he'll get a bit further as well.
"We know our horses' limits and know when to move them on and sell, but he is a horse we'd like to keep on the team."
7lb claimer Ewing was on board Fight Zone who won for his boss Lyons on the Polytrack yesterday.
