Winning trainer Michael O'Brien was absent but his assistant and son-in-law Denis Cullen reported "Beroni had some back trouble which he was treated for but thankfully all is now well."
He added "he had no respect for hurdles and jumped great today, having taken a slight chance at the first fence - he will make a better chaser than hurdler."
