The well-backed Master Appeal gave Andrew Lynch a quick double at Tramore as he landed the five-year-old plus maiden hurdle on the card. Utmost Zeal cut out the running in the two-mile contest but Master Appeal travelled strongly to lead going to the second last.

Patsio who had been hampered by the fall of Mizyen three out, soon tackled the eventual winner but could make no impression from the final flight as John Kiely's charge stayed on strongly on the run-in for a two-and-a-half length victory.

The winner was sent off 6/4 favourite having opened 15/8 on course. He had been available at as big as 5/1 this morning.

The Brian Boru gelding had chased home a smart looking sort in Nickname Exit at Clonmel last time.

It was three winners from his last three runners for Kiely, following a double at Wexford on Friday night, and he said:-

"When they are in form they are in form. He deserved it, the ground improved and he ran well on it at Clonmel. He couldn't handle it when it was soft and had he come down the hill the better there he would have been closer.

"I'm delighted that he won. I have no plans for him, we will see how he comes out of the race. He jumped well today, he jumped better than he had been. He will go over fences next year."
