Voyageofdiscovery came with a rattle to mow down Compass Hill and win Division Two of the seven-furlong handicap in Limerick.

The six-year-old gelding was returned at 10/1 from Compass Hill at 5/1. Accladora was half a length back in third at 16/1.

Trainer Thomond O'Mara said: "That's not out of turn and the race turned out to suit him. He has won on soft ground in the past and has oodles of ability but saves the best for himself the whole time.

"Wayne (Lordan) cajoled it out of him today and gave him a great ride. He'll run again before the flat season finishes and Dundalk is also an option for him."

This gave Lordan a double on the card as he took the feature Martin Molony Stakes on board Detailed
