Sweet My Lord got off the mark over fences on his first attempt as he took the www.tramore-racecourse.com Beginners Chase for Willie Mullins and David Casey.
The outcome was still in the balance coming down to the second last as Lord Ben held a slight advantage over the winner.
However a bad mistake by Lord Ben at that fence handed the initiative to the 9/10 favourite who went on to score by three and a half lengths at the line.
Davy Russell lost his stirrups aboard Lord Ben after the mistake but he still managed to take second at 2/1 for Henry De Bromhead.
The front duo raced in first and second throughout the two mile contest with the winner only hitting the front at the second last. Steel Park ran a fine race to finish three and a half lengths back in third at 20/1 for Andrew Leigh and Sean Byrne.
Willie Mullins said afterwards: "He seems very well suited to that game. It was a very sharp performance for a horse first time out over fences.
"He will probably go for a winners race now at either Listowel or Killarney.
"He wants further but he is a natural jumper and it was a good performance first time over fences."
Sweet My Lord is owned by Aidan Devaney, Jonathon Mullin (Irish Racing Post Editor) and Colm Murray (RTE Sports).
