Laughing bounces back to score
Laughing atoned for a disappointing effort last time when opening her account in the fillies maiden at Navan.
Declan McDonogh tracked the leaders on the well-backed daughter of Dansili (11/4 into 9/4f) and hit the front a furlong-and-a-half from home.
Charles O'Brien 's charge stayed on well inside the final furlong and held the late challenge of newcomer One Spirit to score by a neck.
The winner was found to be in season when flopping at Dundalk last time having just lost out on her debut there previously.
"She was quiet heavily in season the day after Dundalk and that explains the poor showing. Hopefully we're back on track now," said O'Brien.
"She was in front plenty long enough there. She obviously handled the ground although it is pretty quick out there.
"She's only a child and is still learning. I definately wouldn't be afraid to up her in trip and ten furlongs should be no problem."
Johnny Murtagh was severley cautioned for his ride on Mountain Woman
The Stewards cautioned him to "be seen to make more effort in future" after the filly stayed on from the back to finish tenth under hands and heels riding.
Murtagh reported that his mount had become fractious in the preliminaries and that having taken his mount back from a wide draw he was reluctant to make ground wide around horses in the back straight.
