Jacob's Ladder (8/15f) rounded off a highly productive afternoon for Gordon Elliott, as he comfortably accounted for his four rivals in the concluding Ladbrokes INH Flat Race.

The winner of a point-to-point at Oldtown in February when in the care of Peter Buchanan, he was subsequently bought by current connections for 110,000 pounds.

Beaten by just a short head when second on his debut for Elliott and Gigginstown at the Punchestown Festival, the Mount Nelson five-year-old was expected to go a place better today.

Settled in third by Harry Swan, he improved into a close second from halfway and assumed command with three furlongs to go.

Pushed along inside the final furlong, he readily increased his advantage and came home four lengths clear of the easy-to-back Jerry From Kerry (11/2 from 4s).

Second in this race 12-months ago, Quint Major was another four and a half lengths away in third.

"He's not really a bumper horse, he'll go jumping hurdles," Elliott, who was completing a four-timer, revealed.

"I'm glad to see him doing that because I think we have a lot of nice horses at home."

Mr J.L. Gleeson, rider of Hinter Wish (FR), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount stopped very quickly.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Raceday Stewards that Hinter Wish (FR) trained by Mrs John Harrington was clinically abnormal post race.
