Jack Kennedy is set for a spell on the sidelines after fracturing his left femur in a fall at Punchestown this evening.

Kennedy was riding Bobbie's Diamond when he crashed out at the last in the opening race on the card.

Turf Club Medical Officer Dr Bernard Healy said: "Jack was transferred to Naas hospital with a queried fractured femur. It's almost certainly a fracture to the left femur."

It was later confirmed by Dr Healy that Kennedy had suffered a fracture of his left femur.
