Teaming up with three different trainers Colin Keane completed a Tuesday evening hat-trick in the finale, the www.roscommonracecourse.ie Maiden, aboard Dermot Weld’s Florence Camille
Earlier on the mark for Ger Lyons on Once Upon A River and Aidan O’Brien aboard La Joconde champion jockey Keane sported the Moyglare Stud silks on Florence Camille.
He’d come up short in the famous black, white and red in the feature half an hour earlier. Favourite there, Reve De Vol could manage only sixth place.
However the County Kildare farm were back on top, having their patience rewarded with the three times previously raced Galileo filly Florence Camille.
She began her career in August 2019 and now with first-time cheek-pieces on the nicely supported 3/1 winner (from 4s) got on top in the last strides to beat the luckless market-leader Ballinlough Gale by a head.
“To be fair she was good and game when I wanted her,” said Keane.
“She had a nice run as a two-year-old first time out and she's obviously a mare that's had a few issues.
“It's nice to get that winning bracket and hopefully she might improve as the year goes on getting a trip, as she gets it well.”
