Ask Katie blitzed her rivals in the second divide of the Follow Us On Twitter Apprentice Handicap, as she ran out a seven and a half length winner under Dylan Hogan for owner/trainer George Webb.
After recording her first career success at Listowel in September, the four-year-old daughter of Ask then disappointed at Dundalk, before returning to form to finish third at Limerick on her last start.
Sent off a 7/1 chance this afternoon, she broke away slowly and raced towards rear in the early stages. She soon made up ground, and was settled in mid-division on the inner.
She got a clear run through on the rail entering the straight, and was ridden to the front with over two furlongs to race, stretching clear with over a furlong to go, going on to record a decisive success. Prince Jock (12/1) kept on nicely to take second under Keith Moriarty for his father Albert, while Nannys Well (12/1) was another two and three parts of a length back in third under Donagh O'Connor for Pat Murphy.
Howya Hurricane (25/1) completed the placings half a length away in fourth under Damien Melia for Ger Keane, while the 9/2 joint-favourites Apache Gold (from 11/2) and Avalanche (from 8's) were fifth and fourteenth respectively.
