Joe’s Turn was another winning favourite on the evening at Kilbeggan when readily justifying strong support in the Racing Again On 4th September Handicap Chase.
The son of Jet Away travelled well under Phillip Enright and, after cruising to the front at the last, kept on well on the run-in for an easy length and a quarter success over Kadys Dirha
There was a gap of over seven lengths back to Smitty Bacall in third.
The Mark McNiff-trained gelding, twice a winner between the flags for Richie Rath, was available at 8/1 in the morning but was well supported throughout the day and was sent off the 100/30 favourite.
Enright said, “He’d a nice run here the last day and if he brought that form he was entitled to be thereabouts.
“He seemed to keep galloping the last day so we were hopeful that a step up (in distance) might suit.”
