Annalise Cullen timed it right on Loingseoir as he arrived close home to land the extended mile and three handicap in Roscommon.
He came down the outer in the final quarter of a mile but tended to lug in, however, in the final 100 yards he finished well to score by half a length. The well-backed We'll Go Again (5/1) finished second and was three parts of a length in front of Elusive Gigolo (40/1).
The winner rewarded favourite backers at 13/8 as he followed up under the mandatory penalty for scoring in Fairyhouse last Friday under Cullen.
10lb-claimer Cullen has now won on her last three rides. She is due to have her claim reduced to 7lb.
Trainer Michael Grassick said: “He stayed the trip but they gave him every chance on the better ground as they went slow.
"It turned into a bit of a sprint but Annalise did exactly what I told her. I said 'be in no rush to hit the front'.
“It was probably my fault that she was a little bit too far back but he's better off coming late as he idles in front. I'm glad he just got up.
“The handicapper will have to drop him now as he just about won when he was 6lb well in!
“The horses are in great form. Miss Myers was a touch unlucky and I would have loved to have a winner for Joe (Keeling).
“She probably thought she had enough done and pricked her ears.
“All mine want a bit of juice in the ground so they might be having a bit of a break now looking at the forecast.”
