Jarob trounced his 11 rivals when drawing right away from them in the two mile six furlong handicap hurdle in Navan.
Robbie Colgan got a lovely run up the inner rail on the seven-year-old gelding after the second last and from there the result was never in doubt as Jarob merely stretched away to win by eight lengths at 12/1.
Handler Andrew Lynch said: “The good track helped him. In Galway he kept getting caught at his fences and got himself a bit out of it.
“He also wants that good ground. He'll go back over fences now, somewhere like Fairyhouse as he loves a big galloping track. Robbie said he carried him everywhere today.” Tico the 11/4 favourite from 4/1 on opening show, won a bunch finish for second. Corrick Bridge was a short head back in third at 9/1 while Close One finished a head out of the places in fourth.
Plenty of euro went on the back of The King Of Brega as his price contracted to 6/1 from 14/1 before racing commenced. He went off at 8/1 and looked to be travelling nicely when prominent in the black silks, but once the field turned for home he weakened out of it to come home ninth.
Jarob won two runs back in a three mile maiden hurdle at Bellewstown.
