So Perfect made a winning debut for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore in the juvenile fillies' maiden over five furlongs at Navan.
In what was a lively betting heat, the 4/1 second favourite raced towards the rear before improving in the final quarter of a mile. She then made good headway from sixth at the furlong pole.
She really hit her stride with 150 yards to go and stormed home down the outside under Ryan Moore to collar Mater Matuta (7/1) in the final strides.
The Scat Daddy filly got up by a short head with runner-up Mater Matuta three parts of a length in front of third-placed Silver Service at 25/1.
Aidan O’Brien said: “We’re delighted with that for a first run. We were worried about the ground and experience but she is obviously a very nice filly. She is a big, powerful filly.
“I’d say she is an Ascot filly and could run over five or six. She could run at Naas (the Listed Juvenile Fillies Sprint over six furlongs on May 20) for some more experience.”
Ryan Moore added: "She's a very nice filly. She did everything right today, she learned as the race went on. It was a very pleasing start. She is a big, strong filly and all being well she'll have a big future.
"Five (furlongs) here today is hard work, it's very dead ground and a stiff finish but she's fast and I wouldn't say six (furlongs) would be any problem at all." Inflorescence and Palabres were very well backed and came in fourth and sixth respectively. Meryems Way was supported at big prices this morning but finished last of the 14 runners.
