Be Rude Not To landed a morning-price gamble in the mares' auction maiden hurdle at Cork with James O'Sullivan in the plate.
She was backed from 18/1 to 8/1 in early skirmishes but drifted from 9/1 to 14/1 at the track.
The five-year-old mare swept into the lead at the second last but looked vulnerable to Glebe Girl who closed on her approaching the last.
Glebe Girl made a mistake there though, as Be Rude Not To jumped it well and the race was in the bag as she stayed on well to score by two and a quarter lengths from the 7/2 favourite.
Getaway Kate was a length and three parts further back in third at 4/1.
Trainer Philip Rothwell said: "She is owned by a syndicate of lads (Jet Back Syndicate) who have been very lucky with two previous winners with me but it's three years since we've had one that was good. I asked them to buy here having seen her cantering locally to me and they deserve a bit of luck.
"She's a good mare and will improve an awful lot after that. It wasn't a strong race and we thought she had a very good chance and there is a lot of improvement to come. She should make a nice mare over fences in a year's time."
