Indiana Grey (17/2) registered a fourth career win at Dundalk today, landing the concluding View Restaurant At Dundalk Handicap (div II) for trainer Pat Martin, jockey Mikey Sheehy and 'lucky owner' Ray Moore.
The daughter of Zebedee was a course and distance winner in November and today beat runner-up Kudbegood by a length and a half.
Afterwards Martin said “she has really turned a corner. We were in limbo during the summer, we just didn't get a clear run with her and she takes a lot of work to get her fit. Once she's fit it's easy enough to keep her ticking over.
“I wasn't sure she'd ever come back here as she used to be a bit stiff after her runs but I think the surface is kinder now and she's come out of her races very well.”
He added “the biggest thing about this one is her owner (RayRaymond Moore) - he's the luckiest man ever to have racehorses. I can only think of one or two horses that he's had with me over the years that didn't win.
“He just came back to Ireland today so I'd say there will be a big party somewhere, maybe around Monasterevin.”
